_{Ohh, this feng shui c.rap doesn't work. Mel thought with a scowl. She had found a book and decided to read it, it's interesting title had caught her eye and after reading it the teenager just had to. She had moved some furniture around and it didn't work her ci or was it chi wasn't affected, what was that anyway? Magic? Normally she would chuck the book away but it was an old book and interesting. To relax you could move furniture to let the chi thing flow. It was all so different and strange. She shrugged as she put the book down on the table and flopped down on a chair, padded with a soft material.

Her blue tunic was nothing special but she had belted it just at her waist and a small sword was slipped, a bow was on her back. The times of trouble with Robin and the others made many wary of any surprise attacks and being an able fighter Mel was no exception.

The interior of their small house was homey, nothing extravagant but Mel always felt safe at home. Her blue eyes were wide with excitement at her discovery even if it did prove a total flop, it was still rather unusual and cool. I wonder where Ari is. He always seems to haunt me. She thought, the familiar routine that she had always kept was gone now, she just wandered and tried to get involved with something interesting.

Mel -daughter- of- Selena was extremely bored by now; never one to be scholarly, she was a magic using and swordswoman and a dam good one too she thought, for her age anyway. Even as a young teenager she noticed the looks she got, with a developing body and lithe figure, long, dark hair and blue eyes she wasn't plain by a long mile not that any elf was plain, it was like a rider without a dragon athough she ammended that quickly thinking of Arget, the riderless dragon and wild dragons. She really had to work on her 'witty' exclamations,at least she didnt speak it out loud.

In elven standards she was a child but in the human standards she would probably have been married off and expecting a child by now; she felt lucky that she was barely a quarter human and she was completely elf like in appearance although she probably could contract human diseases if luck was ill shining on her but life was life. Twins, she and Ari were a rare occurence within the elven race; with only about four sets ever recorded. It was annoying when outsider elves from Kirtan and other places saw them, they would gawp, although she and Ari were not totally identical they shared enough resembalance to show they were related, siblings. Even elves having more then one child was rare. So Mel and Ari a walking gawp as you see them show. It had it's perks too she thought, some men stared and as she was at that age....yes that ages when she was finding members of the other gender rather attractive, she would often have blushed if not for a quick spell.

Note: Anti Blush spell ultimate must have for a young female elf!

She had begun just to glide around and humming a quaint little tune under her breath. She was not really sure where it came from but it seemed to be from a memory, probably a lullaby but maybe not.}
